02 Aug 07          New health and safety qualification

The UK’s National Examining Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) is probably the world’s leading awarding body in health and safety qualifications.  Its courses set the standard for anyone who is concerned with health and safety at work, and those who hold NEBOSH qualifications can be confident that they have achieved the benchmark for success at their chosen level.

The first NEBOSH International General Certificate in Health and Safety held by the Institute of Health and Safety ended last Saturday, 6th August 2007. The candidates attending for the course have been working hard for these last couple of months to achieve this valuable health and safety qualification.

The Institute of Health and Safety has already run two other NEBOSH courses in Libya, but this was the first one to be held in Malta. The Institute of Health and Safety is the only training centre in Malta to be accredited by NEBOSH to deliver courses on its behalf, and IHS had to undergo rigorous vetting to ensure that the company met the high standards set by NEBOSH.

IHS is now preparing itself for the next NEBOSH International General Certificate in Health and Safety starting on the 5th October 2007. For more information e-mail info@ihs.com.mt or call 21 311 966.
