Medilink International has been awarded a contract by BP to assist them with site medical services and first aid at their remote camp in Rhourde El Baguel. BP participates in Rhourde El Baguel (REB), an enhanced oil recovery development 75km east of the Hassi Messaoud oilfield. BP is the largest foreign investor in Algeria and has delivered two world class gas developments, one in Salah Gas and in Amenas.
Two expat paramedics have been assigned to this site at REB. On receiving a handover of the medical facilities, Medilink embarked on upgrading the medical facilities and equipment on site to ensure that they are ready for emergencies.
A specialised first aider will also be coordinating and conducting intensive training for the personnel at this camp in the upcoming months.
